Recycling improvements headed our way
March 6, 2010 at 10:21 am camdentownwithprimrosehill
During our many visits around our area, some residents mentioned that the recycling boxes we have in Camden were not big enough. Lib Dems on Camden Council have successfully pushed for some changes in the way we will be recycling in Camden.
More bins will be rolling out in order to encourage people to recycle more. It will also allow for people to recycle garden and food waste.
The changes mean there will be a bin for food waste, a blue bag for paper and cardboard, the standard green box for glass and plastic and a sack for garden waste.
The new recycling scheme is due to roll out in our area this summer. In the mean time, you can order a recycling box or bag by visiting http://www.camden.gov.uk/recycling or by calling Street Environment Services on 020 7974 6914.
If you would like to find out more or have any other issues, then please get in touch.
